Wynn bets on Manila – Las Vegas in Manila?

22 03 2007

Steve Wynn knows Filipinos perhaps better than any other employer and developer in Las Vegas – his mega hotels and casinos employ thousands of Filipino Americans at all levels and he has seen the purchase power of the pinoy through his hosting of the last three fights of the ‘Pac Man’ Manny Paquiao.

Outsourced services also use Philippine based accounting firms, call centers, and other services from several providers here in the Philippines – he might also see a greater interest in purchases of his various condo developments in Las Vegas by Asia’s largest two Asian American communities – Chinese Americans and Filipino Americans – who together make up the largest most affluent block of Gamers and earners among second generation Asian Americans.

Investing in manila – Wynn and the Las Vegas types will find a casino friendly environment that already has 22 casinos and gaming clubs – licernced by the government – as well as over over thirty small all machine casino game like bingo parlours across the capitol city alone.

Wynn’s style is credited with developing Las Vegas into a 2.0 level of total entertainment and gaming resorts that go well beyond the poker table and or the slot machine to include malls, enterainment centers of top concerts and shows and total shopping and relaxation in total package.

Looks like a Winner… for Wynn and Manila.
